New Year Nail art: Firework!

Happy Newyear?

I’ve found this design on YouTube, and I didn’t had any choice but to use it as my New Year Design. It FORCED me to use it T_T

Le Video:

As base I’ve used my blackest nail polish. Wait until that’s dry and add a matte polish of your choice.

Wait till that’s dry and get your shiniest and prettiest polishes. With your smallest nail art brush, draw small line’s from one point out. I also added another line of glittery gold polish over the gold fireworks. It did smear a bit to the sides because it’s clear. Hey, I’m just thinking… Does someone know if I could add another matte coat over it?

But, Don’t add a topcoat! Cause that would disable the use off the matte topcoat.

And than you’re done! 😀 Enjoy your new year design? xD

I hope you enjoyed my post and that it was useful ^^ If ya got questions, don’t be afraid to ask me! 🙂

Christmas Nail art!

Christmas Nail Art Designs in April? Yes! Deal with it. >.<

Bare with me, I didn’t have a good brush at that time.

I started 2 weeks before Christmas with the blue design. The week before Christmas I did the red design. And half a week before Christmas I did the last design.
I’ve found all the designs on YouTube. After a long, long, long search I’ve found the video’s again.

Le Video’s:

I don’t know why I added another arrow point at the end anymore o.o Maybe I’ve found that at another tutorial…. Hey! It has been a while >.<

Well, the mistletoe is more of an example. I’ve found lots of Mistletoe designs on the webs, and made it my own, but this video is the best showing how to do the mistletoe.

I also wanted to do some design with a snowman and a Christmas tree, but it was Chaos at my work o.o So I will save those for next Christmas ^^

I hope you enjoyed my post and that it was useful ^^ If ya got questions, don’t be afraid to ask me! 🙂

Epic Finale is Epic

Epic. Season Finale is so epic. I’ve just finished watching the season finale of season 2. Sooooo good 😀 Soooo awesome 😀

But now I have to wait for season 3 T_T

Hey, do you even watch My Litte Pony? Cause it’s worth it you know 😉

(Very, very, very… very late) Halloween Nail Art Design

Well… It’s that long ago, it might as well be an early tutorial for next Halloween, right? 😀

For this design  I’ve taken a few tutorials and I’ve mixed them together for my liking.
Which resulted in this design:

Le pumpkin for my thumb: (except less detail)

Le bats:

I’ve also done vampire teeth for my ring finger, but sadly, I can’t find the video for that tutorial anymore >.<
luckily that one’s not too hard to explain 🙂

You may or may not already have seen my Halloween design, because I’ve used it at my previous post for The Paper Bag Technique.
That is indeed the technique I’ve used to do this design and I’m lazy (I did put a link here, just above! Just click it. I’m lazy) so I’m not gonna explain it again >.<

What I didn’t explain though, is how to do the vampire teeth. That’s because I didn’t do that one on the plastic bag. Why? It’s simple enough to draw on nail directly.

With a small brush and white nail polish/acrylic paint, paint 2 little squares in the middle of your nail. Add 2 more little squares to the side so you have 4 front teeth. If you like, you can make the 2 middle teeth a little bigger, making them more like front teeth.

To the sides of the squares, add a small triangle pointing downwards. You can make the teeth sharper/longer if you want.

After that’s dry, add a little line of red polish/ acrylic paint on the lower sides of the squares and triangles. Add the triangles, you can draw the line down further if you want, making it look like the blood is dripping of the fangs.

Add a top coat and you’re done! 😀

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and that it was useful ^^ If ya got questions, don’t be afraid to ask me! 🙂

Nail art Technique: Plastic bag

[the designs I’m using are for my (very, very late) Halloween theme. I’ll make a special post for it in the next few days]

I really really really stink at doing my right hand because I’m right-handed.
Luckily, I’ve found this technique on the Interwebs.

But instead of using a small paper bag, I use a map which is much more firm and you don’t have to keep stretching it to have an smooth surface.
I also stink at drawing with nail polish out of nowhere, especially when I don’t know if the design is gonna fit. And since you can put paper in the map, I first draw my design on the paper and later on draw it over on the map with nail polish ^^

What you’ll need extra is a pencil with a really really sharp and small point. Cause you’ll have to draw teenytiny.
First I draw my finger, just placing my finger on the sheet and outlining the top. Then I mark where my nail begins and how big it is. With that I sketch my nail. And as long as you stay inside there, the design will fit in your nail! ^^

In the video, she doesn’t use topcoat/see through nail polish, but I’ve seen someone else use it and I find that very useful. That way, when you can’t wait a night, you won’t rip your design itself to shreds, at least the little bit of topcoat.
So, first you place a little layer of topcoat.

Then you draw your design over the topcoat and let it dry. After that, add another layer of topcoat.

Best is to let it dry for over a night or so. Cause then you can just wiggle the plastic a bit or scratch on the other side, and it’ll almost jump off.
When you can’t wait for a night, at least wait a few hours, get a pair of tweezers and very carefully peel off your design.

Paint your nails in the wanted colours.

Add a topcoat and before it dries, carefully place your design on top with a pair of tweezers.
Add very little pressure with a cotton swab. Don’t freak out when it’s all bumpy, cause now we’ll add another layer of topcoat and you’re DONE!!!

Gaaahhh… I can’t keep to deadlines at all T_T I’m so sorry you guys.
I’ve been working all day on my nails, to make tutorials of them or make them at all.
And I’m done. I’ve finished all the designs I was planning to do and got all the pictures and the story up in my head.
But it’s almost 12 am and I’ve got to rise at 5:30 am again,

Tomorrow I’ll spam your email box full but tonight I’m going to sleep.

I’ll give you a preview of what to come though 🙂

Sugar Donut Muffins

Holy cow….

Wow… Just.. Wow…. ❤

Sooooooo Good. I tasted one hot out of the oven, and (I’m not exaggerating here) these are the best I’ve ever made. Ever.
There are no words for the heavenly taste of these muffins. And I cannot wait till I have permission to eat more of them. Which is tonight  T__T Gaaaaahh!!

Sugar Donut Muffins
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking power
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup milk (low fat is fine)
1 tsp vanilla extract

2 tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar, for rolling

Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a muffin tin with cooking spray or vegetable oil.
In a large bowl, beat together sugar and egg until light in color.
In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Pour into egg mixture and stir to combine. Pour in vegetable oil, milk and vanilla extract.
Divide batter evenly into 10 muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

While muffins are baking, melt butter and pour remaining sugar into a small bowl.
When muffins are done, lightly brush the top of each with some melted butter, remove from the pan and roll in sugar. Cool on a wire rack.

Makes 10 muffins.

I left out the nutmeg and added a fair amount of, of course, cinnamon.

Hot Pink Zebra Nail Art

Last sunday was my B-day party for my family.
And I found a volunteer who wanted pretty nails. Yay!

Not bad if I may say so myself 🙂
It’s bad lighting but the nails are a pink colour. :p

Here’s the tutorial:

It’s that I failed at the hearts so I made a french tip on every nail. >.<
